Conveniently located to serve St. Petersburg, FL and Tampa, FL
Moles can be unsightly and draw attention away from the natural beauty of the face. Moles may be benign but can sometimes be cancerous. During your consultation with Dr. Caceres, he will review your medical history, and skin history and perform a thorough examination. If there is a concern for skin cancer or other skin problems, you may be referred to a dermatologist.
Mole Removal Procedure
Most moles can be removed in the office under local anesthesia. Some moles may be able to be shaved off without any full-thickness incisions. Other moles may need to be removed completely by excising them. Depending on the method used to remove your mole, the skin may be left open to heal naturally or the incisions may be closed using tiny, meticulously placed sutures. The best method of healing for you will be determined during your consultation with Dr. Caceres and may depend on the mole’s size, shape, and location.
